Hands down, the best people in the food service industry - ever. Have been going there weekly since 2010, not once a bad experience, and always a great one.

Delicious, creative sandwiches at reasonable prices! Take a long, good look at the menu (and specials!) because there’s so many different choices. They also offer a wide selection of specialty drinks, chips, and candies to browse and enjoy. This local gem is attended by a friendly and fun staff, ready to answer questions and share a smile. The affordable, quality meal and the amiable, homey environment makes the WheatMarket a go-to lunch stop for locals and visitors alike!

I have been going to the Wheatmarket for over 20 years... it never fails to delight me. Foods and flavors I don't tend to enjoy are completley delicious and different than any other I've ever had. Everything made from scratch with love. The atmosphere is warm and comforting, yet the uniqe selection of beverages, snacks and desserts is energizing! Best home made soups, pies, sandwiches and the potatoe salad is spectacular. It is always a treat to stop at The Wheatmaket. ♥️🥧🥪

Lovely local sandwich, etc shop. They do daily specials and soups, but sandwiches are their mainstay. They also sell chocolates, candies, jams, teas, and assorted other fun goodies. Great little place for lunch or takeout.

What a cheerful gathering place! Serving the Chester community with rich soups, tasty salads and thick, traditional or creative sandwiches is just one aspect of the Wheatmarket's attractions. They also offer giant fresh-baked cookies like the white chocolate chip with cranberries that my husband shared with me. Kids of all ages love the variety of candies and bottled soft drinks. They also cater. If you go once, you'll want to return.

Delightful atmosphere and great comfort food.

The Wheatmarket is a Chester institution. Simons and the other places in town are great, but Chester veterans know that Dennis's chicken salad with grapes is the best in the world. So is the avacado sandwich the deep dish pizza and the baked potato soup. Top it off with a slice of 18 POUND apple pie and you will forever remember this cozy place!!!

Great sandwiches , prices, people.

The food is always good, and their baked potato soup is good enough to dream about. As much as possible, they use something other than wheat flour to thicken the soups, so there are usually wheat-free choices (though not necessarily gluten-free, as all the food is prepared in the same place). I think their coffee is the best in town, and the deli section has some really good selections. If you're looking for a great lunch, this is it.

This place been around for 25 years with the original owner taking your order and making your food. My mother in law is a local and memorized the daily specials and visits with her girl friends weekly. I find the place a local hangout with tasty sandwiches and walk around the store while you wait to find a little of this and that and candy I grew up with, how does this guy find such cool stuff.

Love the Wheatmarket. Great sandwiches freshly made with quality ingredients, a variety of homemade soups that changes every day & always at least one hot entree available even when going for a later lunch. They have specialty food items that you can browse while they get your food ready. Limited seating available but it's well set up so you don't feel like you are sitting on top of one another.... We especially like to order our sandwiches to go in the summer and go have a little picnic in one of the many picturesque areas of Chester

About the best Shepherd's Pie around! Can't remember where I've had it any better. Every Wednesday fir lunch. YUM...

Great little hole in the wall lunch place with wonderful variety in soups and sandwiches! Catering also is fantastic here ! Handicap accessible,no steps needed !

Great food and welcoming staff

Cashier was very nice. Food smelled good, though I only purchased cookies. They looked really good, and should have been for $2 each. However, we found them to be dry, not very tasty, and quite lacking in the sweetness one normally finds in a home baked cookie. Actually, not sweet at all. I live 30 min away, otherwise, I'd return the uneaten portions of the 4 cookies for a refund.

Outstanding sandwiches and bakery

This place used to be fantastic but just recently went and it was just ok. Not bad but not at the level we are used to. The firebird special was very pedestrian. Please folks at wheatmarket don't be afraid of bold flavors. Wishing you the best.

The best deli around! We've been looking for a good deli for over a year since moving to the area and we finally found one at the Wheatmarket. We're just sad it took us so long to find this gem. Such friendly service and great homemade food, not to mention awesome deli sandwiches.

The most friendly people in the world who work there and the food is amazing.They even serve their food at the perfect eating temperature. My wife and I eat there several times a week it's our 2nd home.
